“The Cure for Homosexuality... and Other Sexual Deviances”

First of all, I'm not a doctor, or a psychiatrist, or a religious figure.  Nor, am I prejudice towards anyone's beliefs or religions or opinions.  And, just for the record, I don't think that there is a need for a "cure" for homosexuality.  The purpose of this article is to explain how I have personally discovered a way for one to alter your sexual preferences.  I believe that if one wants to make some changes, then this is a very effective method.  At least it was for me.

First, here's a basic background of my personal situation.  Although I had always considered myself, without question, heterosexual, I began to experiment with some mental fantasies that were definitely not typical "hetero" fantasies.

It all began in my teens, when for no reason that I can think of, I began to exclusively masturbate while fantasizing about being dressed as a girl.  Although I found this to be odd, I figured it was harmless, since I had normal relationships and sexual attitudes outside of my masturbation fantasies.  Of course as time went on, these feelings got stronger, and as with many other "addictions", I soon had a desire for more...

This eventually led to the desire for actually trying on women's clothes.  The fantasy had evolved, and just thinking about it wasn't enough.  This was a huge turn on for years, and again, I felt fine with that, since my "real life" relationships and sex life was fairly typical.

So, the next evolution was a logical step now that I think about it.  The fantasies evolved from thinking about being dressed as a girl, to actually dressing as a girl (at least partially), and now I was fantasizing about having sex as a girl.  (Ex: being the girl in a heterosexual relationship)  Almost out of the blue, I was now fantasizing about having gay sex with men.  This, of course, also eventually progressed into bringing the fantasy acts to reality...

I was torn for a while between which side of the fence I was on, and finally decided that I don't actually need to decide.  I am happy with the idea that I can enjoy the beauty and benefits of being with both sexes.  But that's not what this article is about.  The point is that when I fell in love with a girl, I wanted to eliminate (or at least reduce) my other desires.  Here's what I found to be the main ingredient for all of my sexual preferences and fetishes:  masturbation...

Please keep in mind that everyone is different.  We are all wired different, and we all have different environments that we live in, which have a huge effect on us.  This is my story about my experiences.  With that said, I basically realized that I was more or less brainwashing myself by continuing to masturbate exclusively with very specific fantasies.  In my opinion, if you spend years of frequent (daily) masturbation thinking about eating pizza, then you will undoubtedly begin to associate climaxing and being turned on by eating pizza.

Now, it's not easy to change this, and it's definitely not going to happen overnight, but it can be changed.  Since I was able to see the pattern of my fantasy evolutions, and how I was making them stronger, I realized that I can change this.  My reason for changing this was because I wanted to be just as turned on by my girlfriend as I was thinking about other things.  I have personal reasons and beliefs that resulted in this decision, but again, it was ultimately my decision.

So, here's exactly what I did.  I simply stopped masturbating to my old fantasies, and began new ones that were more in line with my heterosexual relationship.  It wasn't always easy, and I definitely had a few relapses, but it's still fun.  Basically, the more that I masturbated thinking about other things, the more those other things became a turn on.  Now, keep in mind that I love having sex with women, and I am very attracted to women.  It's not like I was trying to make myself be turned on by something that I never liked.  What I was doing was simply trying to reinforce these feelings and turn-ons, while weakening the old ones.  It definitely works.  Here's a perfect example:  For over 15 years, I was highly aroused by the idea of wearing women's clothing.  In my years of research on this topic, I found that no one ever seems to be able to get rid of this fetish.  If they're lucky, they can find outlets to release these feelings, but the desire is still always there.  I too felt that I was stuck with this taboo desire, and that I would spend the rest of my life either hiding it or trying to find a very open-minded partner that would understand my need for this fetish.  Well, after using my new found method for changing my turn-ons, this one also fell to the bottom of the list.

The bottom line is this:  if you want this to work, then, with persistence, it will work.  I don't think you can erase any turn-ons, because that's just how we're wired, but I definitely think that we can create new ones, and make them stronger by creating a physiological association with them through masturbation.  Also, just like a drug addict or alcoholic, if you truly want to change your habits, you'll need to change your environment as well.  If you have friends, magazines, or favorite websites that bring these feelings to the surface, you will need to stay clear of them.  Again, simply replace them with things that represent the sexuality that you want.  So, if you're not completely comfortable with your current turn-ons or sexuality, at least you can make new ones.  All it takes is practice and discipline.  Besides, what can be more fun than practicing masturbating to new fantasies?
